Guesthouse Galtafell Reykjavik

As a group visiting the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre, we found the guesthouse to be in a prime location, just a short walk away. The rooms were cozy and clean, with comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchenette. The check-in process was convenient, allowing us flexibility in our arrival time, and the staff were quick to respond to any questions we had via email. The added touch of having free parking nearby was also a plus.

The breakfast was a great opportunity to socialize with other guests and share stories about our New Year adventures. The location was perfect, just a short walk away from the city center and the beautiful lake, made exploring Reykjavik very convenient. our room was equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave, which allowed us to store and prepare our own snacks.

The curtains in our room were so ineffective that they let in all the light, making it difficult to sleep during the long winter nights. the shared bathroom situation was not ideal.

I had very nice 1 night in this hotel that's why I loved that. Plenty of options for breakfast including cheese, fruit and cereal.

Staff and location were very good and I appreciated it. Lots of meals for breakfast, including fruit, cheese and meats.

Comfortable property with welcoming staff who were helpful in making calls for excursions. Beautifully decorated and well-equipped, it felt like staying in someone's home rather than a hostel. Spacious bathroom and cozy room with a large TV and plenty of books. The hospitality was friendly and helpful, with sweet interactions from Jelly and Frum. Great value compared to other accommodations in Reykjavik.

Quirky, fairly clean hotel, excellent value.

The venue was atmospheric, I appreciated the stay and the location was unbeatable not far from center of town as well as the BSI bus station. The staff were pretty friendly and pleasant made my stay great! The room was brand-new with a kitchenette, private bathroom, sofa bed for kids and the breakfast was tasty. Everything seemed great, clean.

My room was clean, cozy, and equipped with a fridge and sink. The location was quiet and close to the city center. Although I had to share a bathroom, it was kept clean.

We loved our 1 night stay. The beds were comfortable and the queen room itself was huge and tastefully decorated. Our stay there was fine.

We stayed at Guesthouse Galtafell for three nights during our trip to Iceland. The suite was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a mini kitchen, sitting room. The location was excellent, with the downtown area, bus station, and grocery store all within easy walking distance. The staff was efficient and helpful, and the breakfast served in the main building was delicious and catered to a wide range of tastes. we had a wonderful stay at Guesthouse Galtafell.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Reykjavik. Firstly, the location was perfect - nestled amongst beautiful residential areas, it offered a quiet neighborhood while still being within easy walking distance of most sights in the city. Secondly, the staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that all my needs were met. Thirdly, the rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, with a full-sized bath that was a pleasant surprise. Lastly, the value for money was excellent, with breakfast included in the price. this hotel provided a great experience at a reasonable price.

This was a very comfortable stay in terrific location in Reykjavik. This hotel was set in a central area just next door to the buses from the airport arrive and the city centre. Stopped by Cafe Loki to get some coffee and treats, it's near the venue, recommend.

We loved how close the hotel was to the city centre. It was just a short stroll away from many bars, shops, and restaurants. The hotel facilities were very clean and well-maintained. We were pleased to find that parking was free on the roads in the immediate area. the staff were friendly and helpful!

This budget guesthouse is located in a nice, quiet area that's still easily accessible-very close to the main bus station and within walking distance of downtown. Some rooms have a bathtub and an extra toilet, and all rooms are clean with comfortable beds. There's a fridge and microwave in the room, which is convenient for early or late trips.

The lack of a proper reception area means that check-in can be confusing for guests, especially if arriving outside of business hours.

During my Christmas stay, I really appreciated the convenient location of this guesthouse. It was only a short walk from the bus station and the city center, making it easy to explore Reykjavik. the staff at the guesthouse were friendly and helpful. It was also nice to have the option to borrow a hair dryer from the bathroom. the atmosphere was peaceful and I felt safe walking around the quiet neighborhood.

I had an amazing stay at a cozy guesthouse with a warm and comfy room just outside the main house.
